MFC-Edit: Set Windows File Associations for Java Programs

  • On your desktop, right-click the MFC-Edit icon
  • Select Open with ...
  • Select Search through Windows
  • On the window that pops up press the Browse button
  • In the Explorer window that opens, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_71\bin\
  • Select javaw
  • Click the Open button
  • Click the OK button
